1. Put turkey drumsticks in a large kettle with water, onion, bay
leaf, salt and thyme; heat to a boil.
2. Cover tightly, turn heat low, and simmer until meat is tender,
about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
3. Cool sufficiently to handle; remove skin and bones, pulling meat
off in chunks. Cut meat into 2-inch pieces.
4. Boil down remaining cooking liquid to 3/4 cup.
5. Drain and discard 1/2 cup liquid from 1 can beans; combine beans,
reduced turkey cooking liquid and tomato paste, mixing well.
6. Add turkey chunks and halved sausages; turn into a 2 1/4- to 2
1/2-quart baking dish.
7. Cover and bake in preheated 350'F. oven 45 minutes, uncovering
last 15 minutes.
