There are three possible parts to a date, of which at least two must be offered: entertainment, food, and affection. It is customary to begin a series of dates with a great deal of entertainment, a moderate amount of food, and the merest suggestion of affection. As the amount of affection increases, the entertainment can be reduced proportionately. When the affection IS the entertainment, we no longer call it dating. Under no circumstances can the food be omitted. |

Stack each slice of toast with 2 slices bacon, 1 large tomato slice
and 1/2 slice raw onion (or more to taste). Salt and pepper
vegetables lightly if desired. Stack together toast slices and their
toppings. Use wooden picks to hold shape. Cover with Hot Bacon Gravy
and serve as a full meal with a knife and fork.
Hot Bacon Gravy: Add flour to hot bacon grease and stir constantly
for 2 minutes, or until mixture begins to bubble. Remove pan from hat
and add warm milk gradually, stirring constantly. Add salt and
pepper. Return pan to heat and stir until gravy thickens. "Really a
meal"
