1. Brown steaks on both sides in oil; sprinkle with salt and set
aside.
2. Add onion slices to pan drippings; cook until golden, stirring
occasionally.
3. Place half the squash slices in a roasting pan or in a 13x9-inch
baking pan; spread half the onions over squash.
4. Set aside 2 tablespoons stuffing crumbs; place half the remaining
stuffing over vegetables.
5. Repeat layers of squash, onions and stuffing.
6. Combine mushroom soup and water; set aside 1/2 cup and pour
remaining portion over stuffing.
7. Arrange pork steaks on top of stuffing; pour reserved mushroom
misture over steaks and sprinkle with reserved stuffing crumbs.
8. Cover with foil and bake in preheated 325'F. oven
45 minutes.
9. Remove foil and continue to bake 20 to 30 minutes longer, or until
steaks are done.
